Microsoft Access is a software interface for the management of relational data bases (RDBMS) that exploits the Microsoft Jet Database Engine and that natively integrates itself into a module for the rapid development of management applications (RAD, Rapid Application Development). For the development of simple applications, you can avoid programming directly, taking advantage of some templates already included in the package. For more advanced development needs, the Microsoft Visual Basic programming language is available in the product (for Office applications called VBA - Visual Basic for Applications). Although the product supports object-oriented programming techniques (OO), it does not, however, constitute an entirely object-oriented development environment.
