All versions of Microsoft Windows SQL Server. In computing, Microsoft SQL Server is a relational DBMS (Relational Database Management System RDBMS), produced by Microsoft. Microsoft SQL Server uses a variant of the standard SQL language called "Transact-SQL" (T-SQL). Both Microsoft SQL Server and Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise communicate over the network using an application-level protocol called "Tabular Data Stream" (TDS). SQL Server also supports "Open Database Connectivity" (ODBC). The SQL Server service responds by default on port 1433.
