Windows 10 S Software

Windows 10 in S mode is a version of Windows 10 optimized for security and performance, while offering the familiar Windows experience. To enhance security, it only allows apps from the Microsoft Store and requires Microsoft Edge for safe browsing.

Also known as S mode or S-mode, Windows S was designed to provide users with a more simplified and "bare-bones" user experience.

In fact, Windows S exclusively offers the possibility to use applications downloaded from the Microsoft Store: this means that traditional Win32 programs cannot be installed or launched. Microsoft's idea is to reduce the risks of infection by preventing users from running unverified applications.

RAM: 1 gigabyte (GB) for 32-bit systems or 2 GB for 64-bit systems
