Acrobat DC is the complete PDF solution for working with the most important documents on desktop computers, Web and mobile devices. Update the Acrobat app for desktop and mobile devices or access Acrobat Web to try out the new features and improvements introduced.

Modernized selection box: The full selection boxes for editing operations have been replaced by grey dotted lines that turn blue when the box is selected. It is also possible to use the rotation handle at the top to rotate the content.

Modernized cropping experience: the new circular cropping handles are more visible and make cropping PDF content easier on high-resolution touch devices. When you crop an image, it is highlighted and the cropped content is moved to the background.

Editing and Signing Tools in the Chrome Extension

In addition to the Convert, Compress and Export tools, the extension now also provides the Edit and Sign tools. If you search in Google for a tool or a PDF operation and the tool is supported in the extension, a pop-up message displayed at the top right of the browser window suggests you to use the tool.

SharePoint Integration in the Chrome Extension (Windows)

When in Google Chrome you open a PDF hosted in SharePoint and click on the Open in Acrobat or Fill and Sign button, the Chrome extension identifies the source location and starts the process of extracting the files in Acrobat.

Now it is possible to create a PDF with an empty page directly from the File menu. In Acrobat, choose File > Create > Empty Page.

In Acrobat, you can now switch from one field to another in a form using the Tab key in creation mode. When you press the Tab key, a blue highlight indicates the active field. If you press Enter, the Properties dialog box of the selected field is displayed.

When you resize the Acrobat window, the Page Display, Selection, and Zoom tools appear in a pop-up bar on the page instead of in the options menu (...) of the toolbar. This way, space is freed up for the display of recently used tools and quick tools in the toolbar at the top.

To return the tools to the toolbar, click on the Anchor button.

The dialog box that appears in Windows in the event of a crash has been improved to simplify the collection of logs and error reporting. The new dialog box is displayed for all crash issues and for all cases where Acrobat is forcibly closed.

Since Flash Player is no longer supported, the corresponding setting has been removed from Acrobat's preferences: Edit > 3D and multimedia > Use Flash Player to play 3D and multimedia content.

Change the color of a comment from the mobile menu

Now it is possible to choose the color of the selected comment directly from the mobile menu, without opening the Comment tool. This feature is available only for annotations with highlighted text, strikethrough, underline, and insertion point.
